Why Gloss Black And Smoke?

Because clear lenses look cheap. Chrome housings look old school. Gloss black matches your black fender or contrasts nicely with a color fender. The smoke lens hides the LEDs when the light is off. When you hit the brake, it glows bright red. Clean. Mean. Modern.

Is This Hard To Install?

You need to drill two small holes in your fender. I know. Drilling into your paint is scary. But measure twice, drill once, and use a small pilot bit. Then splice two wires into your brake light circuit. Red to brake. Black to ground. If you have done any wiring on a bike, this is easy. If you have not, pay a shop. Cheap insurance.

Check your fender tip. You need a flat spot about 3 to 4 inches wide. If your fender is super curved or pointy, this will not sit right.

FAQ

Q: Running light or just brake light?
A: Brake light. Gets bright when you hit the brakes. You can wire it as a running light (dim) and brake light (bright) if you know what you are doing. Most guys just run it as a brake light.
Q: Does this replace my stock tail light?
A: No. Works with it. Stock tail light stays. This mounts at the tip of the fender. Now you have two brake lights. Better visibility.
Q: Is the smoke lens legal?
A: Yes. Light off = looks dark. Light on = bright red. Legal in all 50 states as long as it shines red.
Q: How bright is it?
A: Much brighter than stock. Stock fender tip lights use a tiny bulb. These are LEDs. Cars behind you will actually see you brake.
Q: Can I use this as a turn signal?
A: No. Brake light only. Buy a different light if you want turn signals.
Q: Will this fit my 2018 Street Glide?
A: Yes. Most Street Glide owners run one. Measure your fender tip first. Should be fine.
Q: Will this fit my Honda Shadow 750?
A: Maybe. Older Shadows have curved fenders. Newer ones are flatter. Walk outside. Look at your fender. Is it flat at the tip? If yes, it fits. If it is curved like a banana, it will not sit right.
Q: Do I need a load equalizer?
A: No. That is for LED turn signals. This is a brake light. No hyper flash issues.
Q: Is it waterproof?
A: Yes. Sealed. Rode through rain? No problem. Power washed it? Keep the nozzle back a bit, but it will be fine.
Q: How do I drill into my fender without ruining my paint?
A: Use a small pilot bit first. Put painter's tape over the spot. Mark your holes. Drill slow. Do not push hard. Let the bit do the work. Then use the correct size bit for the screws. Go slow. You got this.
Q: What if I mess up the wiring?
A: Brake light wire is usually solid red or blue. Ground is black. Use a test light or multimeter. Have a friend hit the brakes while you poke wires. Or just pay a shop. A half hour of labor is cheaper than frying your electrical system.
