Why The Kathmandu 2.0?

The original Kathmandu came out in 2010. The 2.0 version came in 2016 with major upgrades. More vents. Better armor. Same rugged capability .The shell is burly 450D polyester with PU coating. Highly water-resistant . The seams aren't sealed, but they stay dry in light rain. For serious downpours, there is a removable Sympatex waterproof liner. Breathable. Impenetrable .

SAS-TEC CE Level 2 Armor

This is the armor that matters. SAS-TEC CE Level 2 protection in shoulders, elbows, and back . That is the highest rating for lightweight armor . The material stays soft when you move. On impact, it hardens instantly, absorbing the shock and distributing it over a large area .Extra foam padding adds supplemental protection over the armor. A large spine protector pocket can fit an aftermarket insert for even more coverage .

Ventilation System

Open the chest vents. Open the shoulder vents. Open the rear exhaust ports. Air flows through . The jacket is comfortable up to about 75 degrees with all vents open. It gets warm in the 80s. Above 90 degrees, you will want a mesh jacket. But for cooler weather, the Kathmandu 2.0 shines .
