It's not the crash that gets you, it's the eighth hour, when your ankles are tired and your feet are hot and every little pivot starts to hurt. That's the problem Gaerne set out to fix with the Fastback Endurance, and honestly, it mostly works.The big thing here is the wrap around ankle pivot. Instead of locking your ankle into one stiff position like a lot of boots do, it lets you move through corners and rough sections almost like you're not wearing a boot at all, but the second something goes sideways, it tightens right back up and gives you that lateral support you actually need. Guys who've put a full season on these say the same thing over and over: they don't fight you.Inside is where you notice the comfort stuff. There's real padding, not the thin junk some brands use, and Gaerne put extra foam right at the ankle bones and across the top of your foot, the spots that usually rub raw after a long day. Getting them on and off is easy too. Four buckles, a Velcro strap up top, done. And if a buckle snaps eventually (they're plastic, it happens), you just replace that one buckle instead of buying new boots.The sole is honestly the best part. It's a dual composite setup with a tread pattern built specifically to grip your pegs, and it doesn't lose that grip when everything turns to mud, which, if you ride enduro, is most of the time anyway. Up front there's a PU shin plate that's shaped to your leg instead of just being a flat piece of plastic strapped on. And yes, they're CE certified (EN 13634:2017, EU Reg 2016/425), so it's not just Gaerne saying "trust us."Features & Benefits:
