Why The Kathmandu 2.0?

Because Firstgear redesigned these for adventure riders. The original Kathmandu came out in 2010. The 2.0 version came out in 2016 with upgrades. More ventilation. Better mobility. Same rugged protection .

Waterproof Shell

100% water-resistant shell . Seams are sealed . No water getting in. The shell is burly. 450D polyester with PU coating. Holds up to rocks and brush .

SAS-TEC CE Level 2 Armor

Knees and hips have SAS-TEC CE Level 2 protection panels . That is the highest level for lightweight armor. The material is soft when you move. Hardens on impact. Absorbs shock. Distributing it over a large area .

Stretch For Mobility

Accordion panel at the lower back. 4-way stretch fabric. Scales rock ledges without pulling or binding. No restriction .

Ventilation

Thigh vents run the full length of each leg. Maximum airflow to your core . Intake and exhaust vents . Oversized thigh vent with hook-and-loop locking feature .
