DragonFire Racing Harness Anchor Kit 1.75 in. (Part #521708)

Those Stock Seatbelts Are Gonna Get You Killed

I am not gonna sugarcoat this. The seatbelts that come in your UTV? They are trash. They are the same junk they put in a rental golf cart. You go fast. You jump. You hit whoops. Those little flimsy belts are not gonna hold you in when things go bad.You put a real 4-point or 5-point harness in? Good. But now you got a new problem. Where do you bolt the shoulder straps? You cannot drill into your roll cage. That weakens it. You cannot weld unless you know what you are doing. This is the DragonFire Harness Anchor Kit. Part #521708. Fits 1.75 inch tubing. It clamps onto your cage. No drilling. No welding. You bolt your harness shoulder straps to it. Done.

Why 1.75 Inches?

That is the size of most UTV roll cages. Polaris RZR. Honda Talon. Can-Am Maverick. Most aftermarket cages. Measure your tube. If it is 1.75", this fits. If it is not, do not force it.

What Makes DragonFire Different?

DragonFire races. They break stuff in the desert so you do not break stuff on the trail. This anchor kit is simple. Steel. Thick. Welds are clean. Hardware is not made of butter. You bolt it on and forget about it. That is how it should be.

Features & Benefits

  • No cutting: Clamps on. That is it.
  • No welding: If you own a wrench, you can install this.
  • No drilling holes in your cage: That is the big one. Holes make cages fail. This has no holes.
  • Steel, not aluminum: Aluminum is lighter. Steel is stronger. For something that saves your life, pick steel.
  • Works with 4-point or 5-point harnesses: Shoulder straps bolt right on.

What Fits?

Tube size: 1.75 inches outside diameter. That means:
  • Most Polaris RZR models (check your year)
  • Honda Talon 1000
  • Can-Am Maverick (measure first, some are different)
  • Kawasaki Teryx
  • Any aftermarket cage made from 1.75" DOM tubing
Do not guess. Take a caliper or a tape measure to your cage. Wrap a string around the tube, measure the string, divide by 3.14. If you get 1.75, buy it. If you get 1.5 or 2, do not buy it.

What Is In The Box?

One anchor kit. Enough for one seat. Driver needs one. Passenger needs one. Back seats need their own.

FAQ

One kit does one seat, right?
Yes. Driver seat = one kit. Passenger seat = one kit. Buy two if you want both.
Do I need to drill anything?
No. That is the whole point. Clamps wrap around the tube. You tighten bolts. That is it.
Will this work with my factory seatbelts?
This is for aftermarket racing harnesses. You can keep your factory belts if your state requires them. But the harness bolts to this anchor, not to the factory belts.
What harness should I buy?
Any 4-point or 5-point harness with bolt-on shoulder straps. DragonFire makes good ones. So does PRP, Simpson, and Crow. Do not buy the cheap Amazon harnesses. Your life is worth more than fifty bucks.
How high should I mount this on the cage?
The shoulder straps should come straight back from your shoulders. Level. Not pulling up. Not pulling down. Sit in the seat. Have a friend hold the anchor bar behind you. Mark the height. Then clamp it there.
Can I use this in a car or truck?
No. This is for round roll cage tubing. Cars have different mounting points. Buy a proper harness bar for a car.
Is this safe for actual racing?
For desert racing and trail riding, yes. For sanctioned racing (SCORE, BITD, Ultra4), check the rulebook. Some classes have specific requirements for harness mounts. This might pass. It might not. Read your class rules.
Why can I not just drill a hole in my cage?
Because that hole is a weak spot. When you roll, the cage bends. It bends right at the hole. The hole turns into a crack. The crack turns into a broken cage. Then you are under a broken cage with no harness. That is a bad day. Do not drill your cage.
