Twin Power 20W50 Synthetic Oil - Quart (Part #539012)

Cheap Oil Kills Air Cooled V-Twins. Do Not Risk It.

You spent thousands on your bike. Maybe tens of thousands. Big bore kit. Nice pipes. Good tires. Then you pour whatever cheap oil is on sale into the engine? That does not make sense.Air cooled V-Twins run hot. Really hot. 280 degrees. 300 degrees. Conventional oil turns into water at those temps. Your lifters start ticking. Your oil pressure drops. That is the sound of your engine eating itself. This is Twin Power 20W50 Synthetic Oil. Part #539012. Quart bottle.Twin Power has been in every real indie shop for decades. The guys behind the counter trust it. The high zinc formula keeps flat tappet cams alive. The synthetic base handles heat that would cook conventional oil.

Why Synthetic?

Because you actually ride your bike. Synthetic oil has uniform molecules. It does not break down. It flows better when cold. It stays thicker when hot. It lasts longer between changes. For a few extra bucks per quart? Worth every penny.

Why 20W50?

Because that is what most big twins want. 20 weight when cold. 50 weight when hot. Thick enough to keep oil pressure at idle on a 100 degree day. Thin enough to flow through pushrods on a cold morning. Do not guess your viscosity. Read your manual.

Features & Benefits

  • Full synthetic: Handles extreme heat. Does not sludge up.
  • High zinc (ZDDP): Protects flat tappet cams. Modern car oils removed zinc. This has it.
  • 20W50 viscosity: What most V-Twins need.
  • Resists thermal breakdown: Stays thick when your engine screams.
  • Quiets valve train: Better film strength. Less noise.
  • Quart bottle: Buy what you need. No waste.

FAQ

How many quarts do I need for an oil change?
Most Big Twins take 3 to 4 quarts. Sportsters take about 2.5 to 3. Check your manual. Buy extra for top offs.
Can I run this in my primary?
No. Keep it in the engine. Your primary needs different oil. Mix them up and your wet clutch will slip. I have seen it happen.
How oftenshould I change it?
With synthetic, 5,000 miles or once a year. I still change at 3,000 to 4,000 if I ride hard. Oil is cheap. Engines are not.
Will synthetic oil make my leak worse?
It will find the leak faster because it flows better. It does not cause new leaks. Fix your gasket first. Then switch to synthetic.
Is this good for my M8?
Yes. Twin Power is safe for M8 engines. Check your manual to confirm viscosity. Some M8s have different requirements. When in doubt, read the book.
