Red Line Big Twin 20W50 PowerPack (Part #90226)

Your V-Twin Is Begging You For Better Oil

I am gonna keep this real simple. Most "motorcycle oil" is just rebranded car oil. It works fine if you ride like a grandpa on sunny Sundays. But if you actually ride? If you sit in traffic? If you push that Big Twin hard? That cheap oil breaks down. You hear the lifters start ticking. The engine feels sluggish. That is heat killing your oil.The Red Line Big Twin 20W50 is different. This is ester-based full synthetic. That is race car stuff. Jet engine stuff. It does not turn into water when your engine hits 280 degrees.

Why The "PowerPack"?

Look, doing an oil change should not require a math degree. The PowerPack gives you the exact amount most Big Twins need for one change. Drain the old crap. Open this. Pour it in. Done. No half-empty quarts rolling around your garage floor.

What Makes the Red Line Better?

Three things.First, the heat. Air-cooled engines get stupid hot. Red Line handles it. The oil stays thick when you need it thick.Second, the zinc. Flat tappet cams need zinc. Modern oils took zinc out. Red Line keeps it in. Your cam lobes will thank you.Third, the film's strength. This oil sticks to metal. It does not drain off the cylinder walls overnight. That means less dry start wear every morning.

Features & Benefits

  • Full Synthetic Ester: Does not cook off in high heat like conventional oil
  • High ZDDP: Protects flat tappet cams and lifters
  • Quiets Down Valve Train: You will notice the engine sounds smoother
  • One PowerPack = One Change: No guessing, no leftover bottles
  • 20W50 Viscosity: What most Big Twins want in their engine

What Does It Fit?

This is engine oil for air-cooled V-Twins that call for 20W50.That means:
  • Harley Evo, Twin Cam, M8
  • S&S engines
  • Ultima motors
  • Custom big inch builds
Check your manual. Some new M8 bikes have different requirements. Some Sportsters use different weights. Do not guess. Look it up.

FAQ

Can I run this in my primary?
No. Keep it in the engine. Your primary needs different oil. Mix them up and your clutch will slip. I have seen it happen.
How long between changes?
The Red Line says 6k to 8k miles. I still change at 5k. Oil is cheap insurance. Why push it?
I have a small leak. Will synthetic make it worse?
It will find the leak faster. That is not the oil's fault. Fix your gasket first. Then switch.
Is this better than Amsoil?
They are both good. But the Red Line uses a different chemistry (esters). It handles extreme heat better. For a bagger that sits in traffic on a 95 degree day? Yeah, I run the Red Line.
Does it come with a filter?
No. This is just the oil. Grab a K&N or a Wix filter while you are here. Do not reuse the old one.
