Fox 2024+ Ford F150 Supercrew 3.2 Factory Race Live Valve Front Coilover – 2–2.5in Lift

Part Number: 883-06-257 | Brand: FOX

Real Talk First

Most F-150 owners upgrading suspension make the same mistake. They pick a coilover based on lift height alone — 2 inches, 2.5 inches, whatever the number is — and ignore everything else. Three months later the truck rides worse than stock, the damping feels wooden, and they're back on forums asking what went wrong.Lift height is the last thing that matters. Damping quality is the first. That's the reason people spend real money on the Fox 3.2 Factory Race Live Valve setup instead of the cheaper alternatives. Not because of the Fox logo. Because of what the damper actually does while you're driving.

What You're Getting With Part 883-06-257

This is a front coilover designed for the 2024 and newer Ford F-150 Supercrew. Four-door body only. It provides 2 to 2.5 inches of front lift. The "3.2" part means the shock body diameter is 3.2 inches. That's large. Fox also makes 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 setups — the 3.2 sits at the top of the range because it carries more hydraulic oil, which means it takes longer to heat up and fade under hard use. On a full-size crew cab that might be carrying a full load of people and gear, that thermal capacity actually gets used. The "Live Valve" part is the electronic damping system. Sensors on the truck — monitoring body movement, wheel travel, steering, throttle, braking — send data to a controller. That controller adjusts damping hundreds of times per second by opening or closing a valve inside the shock body. You don't do anything. You just drive. The suspension figures out what the situation calls for and adjusts to it.

Why That Matters in Practice

Picture this: you leave the highway, turn onto a gravel forest road, and the road quality drops off immediately. With a traditional coilover, the suspension does whatever it's set to do — soft, stiff, somewhere in between, doesn't matter, it's locked in. You feel every change in surface. With Live Valve, the system detects the change in terrain through the wheel movement and body behavior. It tightens up. By the time you're thinking "this road got rough," the suspension has already adapted.Same thing works in reverse. Hard braking — it stiffens to prevent nosedive. Smooth pavement at highway speed — it softens for ride quality. Loaded bed on a long highway run — it compensates for the added weight's effect on body movement.Nothing manual. Nothing to switch. Just a suspension that reads the situation and responds to it faster than any driver could.

Features & Benefits

H2: Live Valve Electronic DampingAdjusts in real time, hundreds of times per second, based on inputs from terrain sensors and driver behavior. The truck decides its own tune for every moment and every surface.H2: 3.2-Inch Body — Built for Heavy TrucksMore oil volume than a 2.0 or 2.5 body means better heat resistance over extended use. The Supercrew is a heavy platform — this shock is properly sized for it.H2: 2 to 2.5-Inch Lift, Purpose-Built for 2024+ SupercrewNot a generic coilover adapted from another fitment. Designed from the ground up for this specific truck platform and body style.H2: Factory Race Series — the Raptor's Suspension FamilyFord chose Fox Factory Race Series for the Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor from the factory. This is that same product tier, now available for the standard F-150 Supercrew. It's not a downgrade from the Raptor spec — it's the same family.H2: Integrates With F-150 ElectronicsPlugs into your truck's existing wiring and onboard systems. Drive modes, safety tech, and factory features stay fully operational.H2: No Compromise Between Road and TrailA traditional coilover makes you pick — street comfort or off-road control. Live Valve removes that choice by adjusting continuously to whatever you're doing.

FAQ

Is this a front-only coilover or does it cover front and rear?
Front only. Part 883-06-257 is the front coilover. A separate rear unit is needed to complete the Live Valve setup across all four corners.
Do I lose any factory features after installation?
No. The Live Valve system is built to work alongside the F-150's existing electronics. Drive modes and OEM features stay functional.
Can a reasonably experienced DIYer install this?
If you've done coilovers before, have a lift, spring compressor, and know your torque specs — maybe. The electronic side adds complexity though. Most people are better off having a shop handle it. Either way, the alignment after installation is not optional and needs to be done by someone with an alignment rack.
What's the alignment situation?
Mandatory after installation. Any front suspension change affects geometry. Do not drive more than needed before getting it aligned.
Should front and rear be done together?
For the full Live Valve benefit, yes. The system is designed to work across all four corners simultaneously. Front-only works, but you're leaving performance on the table.
How do I know which exact lift height I'll land on — 2 or 2.5 inches?
The coilover is adjustable within that range. Final ride height depends on spring preload, your truck's current weight, tire size, and other installed components. Expect to land somewhere in the 2 to 2.5 range after proper setup.
Is the daily driving experience going to feel rough with this installed?
No. Rough daily ride is the problem you get from a cheap fixed-damping coilover with an aggressive off-road tune. Live Valve continuously adjusts — it's soft when the road is smooth and firms up when conditions call for it. Most people find the daily ride better than stock, not worse.
Will this fit my Supercrew if I already have larger tires?
Tire size doesn't affect coilover fitment directly. Fender clearance is a separate question and depends on your specific tire dimensions and offset. Contact us if you're running something non-standard.
