Product Features That Matter on the Road

Built for Long Mileage Touring

The Dunlop American Elite Bias Rear Tire uses a durable rubber compound designed to wear slowly while maintaining traction. Riders who spend full weekends on the highway appreciate a tire that keeps performing long after cheaper tires begin to flatten.

Stable Ride Under Heavy Loads

Touring bikes frequently operate with additional riders, storage bags and equipment for extended journeys. The bias-ply design supports heavy cruiser weight while delivering stable vehicle control during highway driving.

Tread Pattern Designed for Real Roads

The tread design allows water to escape efficiently while it keeps the tire surface in touch with the road. The system creates a safer environment which allows riders to experience better protection when they encounter weather changes and slippery roads.

Fitment Clarity

The Dunlop American Elite Bias Rear Tire is intended for motorcycles that require either:

180/55B18 rear tire
180/65B16 rear tire

These sizes are commonly used on large cruiser and touring motorcycles, particularly American V-twin models. Always check your owner’s manual or the existing tire sidewall to confirm the correct size before purchasing.Correct tire sizing is critical for safe handling and proper clearance within the swingarm and fender.

Installation Insight from Real Shop Experience

The Dunlop American Elite Bias Rear Tire installation process becomes easy for experienced mechanics who understand the basics, yet riders need to understand essential aspects about this process.First, always replace the valve stem when installing a new tubeless tire. It’s a small part, but it prevents slow leaks later. Second, proper wheel balancing is essential. The touring bike spends most of its time operating at highway speeds, so proper balance delivers better performance and uniform tire degradation.Riders who want to keep their motorcycle handling stable choose to mount front and rear tires together.

Who This Tire Is For

This tire is ideal for riders who:

Ride large cruiser or touring motorcycles
Spend long hours on highways
Carry passengers or luggage
Want longer tire life without sacrificing stability

It is especially suited for riders who prefer the feel of a bias-ply touring tire rather than switching to radial construction.
