BikeMaster Universal Cruiser Mirror 10mm - Each - Stainless

Part #: BKM601125

Here's the thing about most cheap motorcycle mirrors: they look great for about a year, then the chrome starts bubbling or the plastic housing goes cloudy from sun exposure. BikeMaster skipped that problem with this one by building it from solid stainless steel, not a coating over something cheaper underneath. What you get is a straightforward, no-nonsense cruiser mirror with a flat lens that gives you an honest view of what's behind you, without the fisheye distortion some curved mirrors introduce.

The Stainless Advantage

There's a reason riders who've been through a few mirror replacements tend to gravitate toward solid stainless over chrome-plated alternatives. Chrome plating is only as good as the metal underneath it, and once that plating starts to chip or corrode at the edges, there's no coming back from it. Stainless doesn't have that weak point. It's the same material all the way through, so weather, road salt, and years of sun don't eat away at it the way they do with cheaper mirrors.

Straightforward By Design

This mirror doesn't try to reinvent anything. It's got a stem that measures 4-11/16 in., long enough to clear your handlebar hardware without putting the mirror head too close to your hand. The overall mirror head comes in at 5-15/16 in. long by 3-5/16 in. wide by 1 in. deep, giving you a reasonably wide field of view for a traditional round-style mirror.

What to Check Before You Order

The one thing that trips people up with mirror orders isn't the mirror itself, it's the thread size on the mount. This one takes a 10mm thread. Plenty of cruisers use that size, but a fair number run 8mm instead, and the two won't interchange without an adapter. Take thirty seconds to check your current mirror or your bike's manual before you buy. And since BikeMaster sells these one at a time, you'll need to grab two if you're replacing the pair.

Putting It On

No tools beyond a wrench, really. Thread it into your existing mount, angle it where you want, and snug it down. If you're coming off a factory mirror, pay attention to thread pitch too, not just the diameter, since forcing a mismatched pitch onto your mount can strip the threads and leave you with a bigger repair than you started with.

Keeping It Looking Good

Stainless is about as low-maintenance as motorcycle hardware gets. A rag and some mild soap now and then is really all it takes to keep the lens clear. Skip anything abrasive on the glass itself, that's the one part that can actually scratch.

Common Questions

Does it come as a set? Nope, one mirror per purchase. Grab two if you want both sides matching.

What thread size is the mount? 10mm.

Is this a universal fit? Yes, it's designed to work across a wide range of cruiser models, but the 10mm thread is the detail to confirm against your bike before ordering.

Stainless or chrome? Solid stainless steel throughout, not a chrome coating over plastic or pot metal, which is exactly why it resists the pitting and peeling that cheaper mirrors run into.

How long is the stem? 4-11/16 in.
