If you are hunting for 2000+ horsepower, this is what you’re looking for. The Garrett G55-2250 (Part# 880547-5004S) is a serious piece of hardware designed for drag cars and max-effort racing builds. This Super Core gives you the complete G-Series rotating assembly and compressor housing straight from Garrett, so you know the tolerances are spot on.It uses a 94mm compressor wheel that’s built to move massive amounts of air under high boost. Since it’s a Super Core, you get the center section (CHRA) and the compressor cover pre-assembled. You’ll just need to source your own turbine housing to match your manifold setup.The Breakdown:
- The 94mm Wheel: It’s big, it’s efficient, and it’s meant to make power at high boost.
- Dual Ball Bearing: Garrett’s signature setup. It handles the high heat and heavy thrust loads of racing way better than a standard journal bearing ever could.
- Ready to Build: Since the compressor side is already set, you aren't risking alignment issues or assembly errors.
- High-Flow Efficiency: It’s a G-Series unit, so you’re getting the best airflow map Garrett currently makes for this frame size.
Fitment & Build Notes:
- Usage: Competition drag racing and custom high-HP builds.
- Important: This is Super Core only. It does not include a turbine (exhaust) housing. You need to make sure you have the right G55-series housing for your manifold before you order.
- Street Use: You can run it on the street if your build is wild enough, but this thing is really designed for the track.
