Are these better than the SG12 “Pure” or “Enduro” versions?
The “Enduro Black” has the softer, self-cleaning sole and blacked-out hardware (no chrome to rust). The “Pure” is for MX tracks with harder compound soles. For trail and rocks, you want the Enduro. Will these fit my fat calf?
Gaerne uses a tall, adjustable calf closure system. There are two hook-and-loop flaps inside. Move them to the wider setting. I’ve seen guys with 18-inch calves fit fine. But if you have tree trunks, call us and we’ll check the sizing chart.How long do they take to break in?
About 4-6 hours of riding. Wear thick socks and walk around the house in them for two nights before your first big ride. The “Memory Cell” foam needs your body heat to shape itself.
