Lower Your Truck Without Sacrificing Ride Quality
You want your Silverado or Sierra to sit lower. Look meaner. Handle better. But you do not want a bouncy, harsh ride. You want it to ride like a truck. Been trying to get my ’02 Silverado slammed for a while and the Maxtrac 5-inch rear drop is exactly what I needed. The fitment was perfect and the install was done in my garage on a Saturday afternoon. Ride quality actually improved. The truck no longer hops and skips over bumps like it did with the stock leaf setup. Stance is aggressive and level front-to-back. Running 20s now and it looks like it belongs on a magazine cover. Maxtrac quality is legit.

My Ram 2500 sees real work, rough ranch roads, towing heavy trailers, and occasionally some off-road use. The Maxtrac Vulcan 8-inch shocks with reservoirs have transformed the truck. Body roll is dramatically reduced when towing and the ride on washboard dirt roads is smooth instead of punishing. My husband was skeptical at first but after one drive he admitted these were the best upgrade I’ve made to the truck. The reservoir design keeps them from overheating under heavy load.

Lowered the rear of my ’01 Silverado 5 inches with this Maxtrac kit to get the stance I’ve wanted for years. Ride quality stayed comfortable, it doesn’t beat you up like some cheap lowering blocks can. Install was straightforward for my shop, everything bolted up using factory mounting points. Handling actually feels tighter now with the lower center of gravity, especially cornering at speed. No rubbing on my 20-inch wheels even loaded down. Exactly the drop and ride I was hoping for on this truck.
