Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart IV Front Tire

The Dunlop Roadsmart IV closes the gap sport-touring riders usually have to choose between, sharp handling and a tire that still has life left after a long season. Sport-touring riders want two things that usually fight each other: sharp, confident handling and a tire that still has life left in it after a long season of riding. The Sportmax Roadsmart IV closes that gap. Dunlop rebuilt the tread pattern, construction, compounds, and profile from the ground up, and the result is a front tire that steers lightly into corners, holds its composure through the miles, and keeps performing near its peak well into its tread life, not just for the first few thousand miles.A big part of that comes down to sidewall construction that's been reworked to sharpen both wet and dry handling while keeping the ride comfortable over rough pavement and long stretches of highway. Dunlop also brought its Hi Silica X and Fine Carbon compound technology to both the front and rear tires, which noticeably improves wet grip and stopping power, the kind of margin that matters most when the weather turns on you mid-ride. On the rear (sold separately), MT Multi-Tread technology pairs a long-wearing center compound with grippier shoulder compounds, so you get mileage in the middle and confidence when you're leaned over.Riders switching over from the Roadsmart III consistently report a noticeably lighter, more natural feel at turn-in, along with a real jump in tread life Dunlop's own testing points to 23-26% more mileage than the RS III, and that lines up with what long-distance riders have reported after putting thousands of miles on a set. This front tire is available in three fitments to match your wheel size 17", 18", and 19" — so whether you're running a standard sport-touring setup or a taller-wheeled adventure-touring bike, there's a Roadsmart IV built for your rim.

Features & Benefits:

  • Reworked sidewall construction improves both wet and dry handling without sacrificing comfort
  • Up to 23-26% more mileage compared to the Roadsmart III
  • Hi Silica X and Fine Carbon compounds boost wet grip and stopping performance
  • MT Multi-Tread technology on the rear tire balances long wear with cornering grip
  • Performance holds steady throughout the tire's lifespan, not just when new
