Kuryakyn Mesh LED Fuel & Battery Gauge Black (Part #6551)

No Stock Gauges? No Problem.

You chopped the fenders. Changed the handlebars. Maybe you ditched the whole factory gauge cluster because it was ugly. Now you got no idea how much gas is in the tank. And no idea if your battery is about to die. That sucks. This is the Kuryakyn Mesh LED Fuel & Battery Gauge. Part #6551. Black. Two gauges in one. Fuel level and battery voltage. Small round face. Mounts on your bars, your risers, or your fairing.

Why Do You Need Voltage?

Because your charging system will fail without warning. You are riding. The headlight gets dim. The bike sputters. Dies. You are stuck. Tow truck. Expensive. Voltage gauge shows you the problem before it leaves you walking.12.5 volts with the bike off is good. 13.5 to 14.5 volts with the engine running is good. Anything less? Turn around and go home.

Why Mesh?

Because it looks clean. Kuryakyn's Mesh series has that industrial look. Not cheap chrome. Not plastic. Just black mesh. Matches other Mesh parts on your bike.

FAQ

Does this work with my stock fuel sender?
If your bike has a 240-33 ohm sender, yes. Most Harleys do. Check your service manual.
Is this hard to wire?
No. Power, ground, and one wire to the fuel sender. If you can change a light bulb, you can do this.
Will this fit my Road Glide?
Yes. Measure your bar or fairing space first. It is a small gauge. Fits most places.
What does the voltage reading actually tell me?
Engine off? 12.5V to 12.8V is good. Engine running? 13.5V to 14.5V is good. Below 13V? Your charging system is failing. Above 15V? Your voltage regulator is cooking your battery.
I have no mechanical skills. Can I install this?
Pay a shop. Seriously. An hour of labor is cheaper than frying your wiring. Do not guess with electricity.
