AlphaRex 09-14 Ford F-150 PRO-Series Projector Headlights Black w/Activation Light Seq Signal SB DRL (Part #880483)

Your Stock Headlights Are Old. Make Your Truck Look New Again.

Let me guess. You got a 2009 to 2014 F-150. The truck runs great. But those headlights? They are hazy. Yellowed. Cracked. The lenses look like someone sandblasted them. You tried the restore kits. They worked for a month. Now they look worse than before. This is the AlphaRex PRO-Series Projector Headlights. Part #880483.These are not just replacement lights. They are a full upgrade. Projector lenses. Black housings. LED DRLs. Sequential turn signals. And the coolest part? An "activation light" that sweeps on when you unlock the truck. It looks like something off a $80,000 luxury truck.

Why AlphaRex?

Because cheap eBay headlights leak. Water gets inside. The lenses turn yellow in six months. The LEDs burn out. AlphaRex actually tests their stuff. They use real projectors that throw light down the road, not just scatter it everywhere like reflector housings.

What Makes These Different?

Projector vs. Reflector: Your stock lights are reflectors. The bulb shines into a chrome bowl. Light goes everywhere. Projectors focus the light into a sharp cutoff. More light on the road. Less light in oncoming traffic's eyes.Switchback DRL: The daytime running light is white. When you hit the turn signal, it changes to amber and flashes. Then goes back to white. That is "switchback." It looks clean.Sequential Signal: The amber bar sweeps from inside to outside. Like a Mustang. Like an Audi. It catches eyes. People will notice.Activation Light: When you unlock your truck with the key fob, the lights do a little startup sequence. It sweeps on. It looks cool. That is it. No performance gain. Just style.

Features & Benefits

  • Projector Low Beam: Sharper cutoff. More focused light. Upgrade to HID or LED bulbs easily.
  • Black Housing: Hides the inside of the light. Looks mean. Matches blacked out trucks.
  • LED Switchback DRL: White running light. Amber turn signal. Both in one.
  • Sequential Turn Signal: Sweeps from inside to outside. Very noticeable.
  • Activation Light: Startup sequence when you unlock the truck.
  • Plug and Play: Uses your factory headlight connectors. No cutting wires.
  • Direct Fit for 2009-2014 F-150: Bolts right in. No modifications.

FAQ

Are these plug and play?
Mostly. They plug into your factory headlight connectors. The DRL and sequential signal may need a separate wire tapped into your fuse box or parking light wire. Read the instructions. It is not hard.
Do these come with bulbs?
Check the listing. Some AlphaRex PRO-Series come with halogen bulbs. Some do not. If they do not, buy some LED or HID bulbs. Do not put cheap halogen bulbs in projector housings. You are wasting the projector.
 What bulbs do these take?
Low beam is usually H7 or H11. High beam is usually H1 or 9005. Check the manual. Do not guess.
 Are these legal?
Yes for off-road use. For street use? The sequential signal and switchback DRL are fine in most states. The activation light is fine. Check your local laws. Some states hate anything that is not stock.
 Will these fit my Raptor?
Yes and no. The Raptor uses the same headlight shape as the regular F-150 from 2009-2014. So yes, they bolt in. But the Raptor has different grille and fender gaps. Some Raptor owners say these fit fine. Some say there is a small gap. Search forums for "AlphaRex Raptor fitment" before buying.
 How hard is the install?
You need to remove the grille to get to the headlight bolts. It takes about two hours if you have never done it before. One hour if you have. Basic hand tools. Socket set. Screwdriver. Do not lose the little clips.
Why should I buy these instead of just polishing my stock lights?
Because polishing is temporary. Six months later, they are yellow again. These are new. Clear. And they look 10 times better. Your truck will look five years newer.
Do these work with factory HID trucks?
They will plug in. But the factory HID system uses different wiring and ballasts. You may get a flicker or an error message. You might need resistors or a CANbus adapter. Ask AlphaRex or check forums for your specific year and trim.
 What is the "activation light"?
When you press the unlock button on your key fob, the headlights do a little sweeping light show. It looks cool. That is it. It does not help you see better. It just makes people turn their heads.
Will these make my truck pass inspection?
Depends on your state. The lights themselves are fine. The sequential signal is fine. The switchback DRL is fine. If your state does a strict safety inspection, they might fail you for aftermarket lights. Check your local laws. If you are in California and they do a visual smog check? You will probably fail. These are not CARB approved because headlights are not emissions equipment, but some shops are picky.
