COG Lift Kit - Performance: Cognito 4" Performance Lift Kit with Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoir Shocks
When you lift an 11-19 Chevy or GMC HD truck, you usually have to choose between getting extra ground clearance or keeping your smooth ride quality. Most basic lift kits out there just drop the differential and call it a day, leaving you with stiff suspension, terrible ball joint angles, and a truck that handles like a tank on the highway. If you use your Duramax or gas HD for heavy towing or daily driving, that rough ride gets old incredibly fast. This COG Performance Lift Kit (Part Number: 110-P0967) solves that exact problem by replacing your weak stock upper control arms and steering geometry along with the lift. Instead of pushing your factory components to their breaking points, this system drops the front differential a full 4 inches to keep your CV axle angles completely flat and safe. Paired with a set of specialized premium Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoir (PSRR) shocks, this kit stops your front end from bouncing down the road and delivers a firm, controlled ride that actually feels better than the day you drove the truck off the dealership lot.The real magic here is how Cognito handles the front track width and alignment stability. Unlike cheap suspension kits that push your front wheels out too far on each side—forcing you to buy ugly fender flares or deal with weird tire wear—this setup keeps your factory track width perfectly intact. The included heavy-duty boxed upper control arms are built with corrected ball joint angles built right into the design. This means your suspension can cycle up and down through its full range of motion without binding up, keeping your ball joints alive even if you take the truck off-road or run heavy, oversized tire combinations.
Features and Benefits
Corrected Upper Control Arm Geometry
The heavy-duty boxed front upper control arms are welded out of high-strength steel and feature optimized ball joint angles. This specific correction prevents the suspension from binding up at full droop and stops premature ball joint wear.
True 4-Inch Differential Drop
By dropping the front differential down a clean 4 inches, your front CV axles and tie rods stay completely parallel to the ground. Keeping these angles flat eliminates the severe driveline vibrations and snapped axles that plague cheap spacer lifts.
Fox 2.0 Remote Reservoir Shocks
The included Fox PSRR 2.0 shocks feature external reservoirs that hold extra oil. This extra capacity keeps the shocks running cool under heavy loads, stopping shock fade when you are towing heavy trailers or driving down washboard gravel roads.
Factory Track Width Maintained
This front suspension architecture keeps your front wheels tucked exactly where GM intended. Your tires will not stick out past the fenders unevenly, saving your body paint from flying gravel and maintaining proper steering scrub radius.
Bolt-On Installation with No Welding
The entire kit is engineered to bolt directly up to your factory chassis mounts using heavy-duty brackets. There is no messy frame welding required to get the kit installed, making it much easier to return the truck back to stock down the line if needed.
Vehicle Fitment Matrix
This 4-inch performance suspension system is a direct bolt-on upgrade for the following heavy-duty GM truck platforms:

Tire and Wheel Fitment Warning: To clear a 35-inch tall tire with this 4-inch lift kit, you cannot use wide aftermarket wheels with massive negative offsets. For proper clearance without heavy metal cutting, we recommend a 9-inch wide wheel with a 5-inch backspacing (or a 0mm to +12mm offset). If you try to run a 10-inch or 12-inch wide wheel with deep lips, your tires will rub hard against the back of the front fender and bumper when turning the steering wheel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will this 4-inch lift kit make my truck ride rougher than stock?
No, it actually does the exact opposite. Most people assume lifting a truck ruins the ride because they have experienced cheap kits that stretch out the factory suspension layout. Because this Cognito kit drops the differential and corrects the upper control arm angles, your suspension works exactly like it did at stock height. The addition of the Fox 2.0 remote reservoir shocks gives you a much more controlled, planted feel over highway bumps and completely eliminates that annoying factory front-end float.
Can I run my factory 17-inch or 18-inch wheels with this suspension kit?
No, you cannot reuse your stock wheels without spacers. The new heavy-duty steering knuckles included in this lift kit require a wheel with a specific backspacing to clear the internal steering arm. If you try to bolt on your factory high-offset wheels, the tire sidewall or the wheel rim itself will crush right into the new knuckle. You need to run an aftermarket wheel with a maximum of 5-inch backspacing to clear everything safely.
Do I need to cut my truck's frame to install this kit?
Yes, minor cutting is required on all 4WD models. To allow the front differential to drop down 4 inches safely, you have to cut off the factory lower control arm frame mount pocket on the driver's side. This is standard practice for any true suspension lift kit on a GM HD truck. If you do not cut this pocket off, the differential housing will hit the frame and it will be impossible to align your front axles properly.
Will this kit affect my truck's towing capacity?
Not at all. This kit preserves your factory rear leaf springs and payload ratings. Because the front suspension geometry is kept level and stable, your truck will actually feel much more secure and stable when hauling a heavy fifth-wheel or bumper-pull trailer, especially with the added dampening control of the Fox reservoir shocks
