COG Lift Kit - Standard (Cognito 110-P0780)

If you are trying to lift your heavy-duty Chevy or GMC truck but you don't want it riding like a brick on the highway, this Cognito 7-inch standard kit is a smart way to go. This package (Part# 110-P0780) is made specifically for 2011-2019 Silverado and Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD trucks. It works with both 2WD and 4WD models, you just have to make sure your truck has the factory StabiliTrak setup.

A lot of the cheaper lifts out there will twist up your steering geometry and ruin your alignment. This kit avoids that problem by dropping the front differential down a full 7 inches. That drop keeps your stock tie rods and CV axle angles sitting flat, so you aren't constantly snapping parts or wearing out your front end when you drive.

What fits best: We suggest running 35-inch tires (up to 12.5 inches wide) on a 9-inch wide rim with 4.25" to 5.0" backspacing. Note: Depending on how blocky your tire tread is, you might need to do a little bit of minor plastic trimming inside the fender well so it doesn't rub when turning.

Do the torsion bars hang down with this kit?

No, they stay right where they are. Since it’s a non-drop style kit, your stock torsion bars remain up along the frame line so your ground clearance stays high.

How long does it take to install?

It's a full bolt-on setup but it's a big job. Plan on it taking a shop or an experienced mechanic about 12 hours to finish. You will definitely need to get a professional front-end alignment done right after it's bolted up.
