Anthony Petrucci –
Slid this DV8 Dana 44 skid plate under my JL before a rocky trail run in Colorado and I’m so glad I did. It deflected several direct hits that would have damaged the diff without it. The plate is thick and substantial. This is not a token piece of sheet metal. Bolt-on fitment was perfect and it tucked up tight to the underside. No ground clearance loss that I can notice. After a season of serious wheeling it has the dings to prove it works. Every Wrangler that sees real trails needs this.

Bashed my factory diff cover on a rocky trail and finally bit the bullet on this DV8 skid plate for my JL’s Dana 44. Thick steel construction gives real peace of mind crawling over sharp rocks now. Fitment was precise, bolted right up to factory mounting points with no drilling. Powder coat finish has held up well despite plenty of rock strikes already this season. Adds minimal weight but the protection difference is night and day. Essential upgrade for anyone who actually wheels their Wrangler.
