Kuryakyn Phantom Mirrors — Chrome & Gloss Black (Part #1962 / #1963)
Stock mirrors. Every rider knows the feeling — you spend real money building out your bike, get the look dialed in, and then there's that pair of factory mirrors sitting on the bars like they hitched a ride from a completely different motorcycle. Not ugly enough to ignore, not good enough to keep.
The Kuryakyn Phantom Mirrors solve that problem without creating new ones. Sharp lines, real materials, and a convex glass setup that actually gives you a usable rear view. Two finish options — Chrome (Part #1962) and Gloss Black (Part #1963) — so they work whether you're running bright chrome or a full blackout build.
What You're Looking At
The Kuryakyn Phantom Mirrors have an angular, aggressive shape. Not in a "we tried too hard" way — just clean, deliberate lines that read as custom without screaming for attention. They sit well on touring bikes, Softails, Dyna builds, Sportsters, basically the full H-D lineup. More on fitment below.
Construction is forged aluminum on the heads and stems. That matters because forged is stronger than cast and holds up to road vibration differently — it doesn't fatigue the same way over time. The finish on both options is consistent: chrome on the 1962, gloss black on the 1963, and neither looks cheap up close.
Features & Benefits
The Pivot System Is the Real Story
A lot of mirrors look fine until you actually try to adjust them. Either they're stiff and you're torquing on the stem to get them where you want, or they're loose and they drift back after twenty minutes on the highway. The Kuryakyn Phantom Mirrors use a machined stainless steel ball with a nylon socket — smooth to adjust, stays put once you set it. No creep, no rattle under vibration. It's one of those details that sounds minor until you've owned mirrors that get it wrong.
Convex Glass — Bigger Field of View
The mirror glass is convex. That gives you a wider picture of what's behind you compared to a flat mirror. On the highway especially, that extra coverage matters — adjacent lanes, traffic closing in, the truck you didn't see coming up. Useful, not just decorative.
Forged Aluminum Build
Heads and stems are made from premium forged aluminum. Forged is the right call here — it handles vibration and weather better than cast alternatives and keeps its shape over time. These aren't going to corrode into an eyesore after one season.
Mirror Head Dimensions
Each head measures 2-3/4" tall by 4-3/4" wide. Big enough to actually see out of. Small enough that they don't throw off the proportions of your bars. That balance is harder to get right than it sounds.
Two Finishes That Both Hold Up
Chrome — Part #1962: Classic mirror finish. Works great on traditional builds, touring setups, anything where chrome is already part of the language of the bike.
Gloss Black — Part #1963: Clean and sharp on blacked-out or dark custom builds. Same everything, just in black. Pick whichever matches your build — both are built identically.

FAQ
What's the difference between Part #1962 and Part #1963?
Finish only. The Kuryakyn Phantom Mirrors come in Chrome (1962) and Gloss Black (1963). Same construction, same glass, same fitment, same dimensions — just different finishes.
Do I need adapters?
On most standard Harley-Davidson models, no — these go on as a direct replacement. XG Street 500 and 750 and most metric bikes do need adapters, which are sold separately. If you're not sure, contact us before ordering.
Are they sold as a pair or individually?
Pair. Every set includes a left assembly, right assembly, and hardware kit.
Can I adjust them after installing?
Yes. The stainless ball and nylon socket pivot gives you smooth adjustment and holds position after you set it. They don't drift.
What tools do I need?
Metric hex wrench set, combination wrench set, razor blade, 7/8" drill bit. None included.
Do they fit metric bikes?
They can with the right adapter. Let us know your year/make/model and we'll help you figure out what you need.
Is shipping free?
Free shipping on orders over $99 across the USA.
