Dunlop D401 Front Tire - 100/90-19 M/C 57H TL
The Tire That Came On Your Harley From The Factory
If you ride a Harley, you have probably already seen these tires. Because they came on the bike from the factory. The D401 has been Harley-Davidson's front tire of choice for years. And for good reason.Dunlop built this tire specifically around what cruiser bikes need. Stable steering. Consistent wear. Grip you can trust in the rain as much as the dry. The tread compound is formulated for cruiser use. Not borrowed from a sport tire or a touring tire and relabeled. That means it behaves predictably under the weight and geometry of a V-twin. And it does not go off a cliff in wet conditions the way some harder compounds do.Why The D401?
One thing worth calling out. The tread profile is computer-optimized specifically to fight that center cupping issue that plagues a lot of front cruiser tires. It is a small detail that makes a real difference over the life of the tire.Harley-Davidson branding is molded into the sidewall. It is the only tire brand licensed to do that. That tells you something about how tight the relationship between Dunlop and HD actually is.Available Sizes
Four variants cover the most common front fitments on Harley-Davidson cruisers:| Part Number | Size | Load / Speed | Sidewall |
| DUN45064660 | 100/90-19 M/C 57H TL | 57 / H | Black Wall |
| DUN45064215 | 100/90-19 M/C 57H TL | 57 / H | Wide Whitewall |
| DUN45064638 | 130/90B16 M/C 73H TL | 73 / H | Black Wall |
Wide Whitewall
The Wide Whitewall variant is the same tire mechanically. Same compound. Same profile. Just with the classic white stripe that a lot of Softail and Heritage riders prefer for the look. If your bike originally came with whitewalls, this keeps that stock appearance while giving you a fresh tire underneath. All four are bias construction, tubeless, and rated for Cruiser/Touring use. Speed rating is H across the board. Good to 130 mph. No concerns there for highway riding.Features & Benefits

FAQ
Which size do I need?
Double-check your rim diameter and current tire size before ordering . The 19-inch and 16-inch fitments are not interchangeable. The 90mm and 100mm widths require different rim widths. If you are replacing a stock tire, just match the size that is already on the bike. What is the difference between Black Wall and Wide Whitewall?
Same tire mechanically. Different sidewall appearance. Whitewall has a classic white stripe. Black Wall is all black. Is this a front tire or rear tire?
Front tire. Do not put it on the rear.Is this tire tubeless?
Yes. All four variants are tubeless .What is the speed rating?
H rating. Good up to 130 mph .Related products
