Turbosmart 2013+ Ford F-150 2.7L/3.5L EcoBoost BOV Vee Port EM - Black (Part #TS-0225-1001)

Your EcoBoost Is Leaking Boost. You Just Do Not Know It Yet.

I am gonna tell you something Ford does not want you to know. That plastic bypass valve on your 2.7L or 3.5L EcoBoost? It leaks. From the factory. It flexes under boost. Air slips past. You lose power. Your turbo works harder than it needs to. And the sound? There is no sound. Just a silent little puff of air. This is the Turbosmart Vee Port EM Blow-Off Valve. Part #TS-0225-1001. Black. It replaces that junk plastic piece with a billet aluminum valve that actually holds boost. And because it is a "Vee Port," it vents to the atmosphere. That means you get that signature turbo whoosh-PSSHH every time you let off the gas. It sounds like a real performance truck. Because now it is.

Vee Port vs. Other BOVs – What Is The Difference?

Turbosmart makes a few different valves. The Kompact is smaller. The Big Port is louder. The Vee Port sits right in the middle. It is designed specifically for the EcoBoost engine bay. It clears everything. It bolts right up to the factory location. And it has a nice aggressive sound without being obnoxious.

Why 2013+?

Because Ford changed the BOV location and flange style in 2013. This specific part number fits the 2013 and newer trucks. If you have a 2011 or 2012 F-150, you need the Kompact Shortie. This is for the newer generation.

Features & Benefits

  • Billet Aluminum Housing: No plastic flex. No leaks. Just solid boost holding.
  • Direct Bolt-On For 2013+ EcoBoost: Uses the factory mounting holes and bolt pattern. No adapters. No cutting.
  • Vents To Atmosphere: That is the sound. The whoosh. The PSSHH. You will smile every time you shift.
  • Dual Piston Design: Seals tighter under vacuum. Opens faster under boost. No lag.
  • Black Finish: Looks stock. Does not stand out. But the sound gives it away.
  • Made In Australia: Turbosmart designs and machines everything in Sydney. Not cheap Chinese stuff.

FAQ

Will this throw a check engine light?
No. The Vee Port is designed to work with the factory Mass Air Flow (MAF) system. It does not vent 100% of the air. The ECU never sees a problem. No CEL.
Do I need a tune to run this?
No. You can bolt this on a bone stock truck. That said, if you already have a tune (MPT, 5-Star, etc.), this valve will hold boost better than stock. You will actually make the power the tuner promised.
Is this CARB legal?
No. This product is not CARB legal and is not for sale in California. If you live in CA, you cannot put this on a street-driven truck. Off-road use only there.
How hard is the install?
It is easy. The valve is right on top of the passenger side intercooler pipe. Two bolts. One electrical connector (if you have the electronic version). Unplug the old one. Bolt this on. Plug it in. Ten minutes with basic hand tools.
Will this fit my 2020 Ford Expedition?
Yes, if you have the 3.5L EcoBoost. Check your engine size. The 3.5L uses this valve. The 3.3L or 5.0L do not have turbos, so no BOV.
Is the Vee Port louder than the Kompact?
Yes. The Kompact is a dual port (50% recirc, 50% atmos). The Vee Port is full atmosphere. It is louder. It is more aggressive. If you want to hear your turbos, get the Vee Port. If you want quiet, get the plumb back version.
Why does my factory valve say "bypass" not "blow off"?
Same thing, different name. The factory valve recirculates air back into the intake. It is quiet. The Turbosmart vents it to the air. That is the sound. That is the difference.
I have a 2022 F-150. Will this fit?
The 2021 and newer trucks changed some things. Check your intercooler pipe. Some 2022 models still use the same flange. Some do not. Compare your factory valve to a photo of this one. If the bolt pattern and plug look the same, it fits. If not, look for the newer generation BOV from Turbosmart.
