Brian Crower 94mm Stroker Billet Crankshaft | Toyota 2JZGTE 2JZGE

If you are pushing a Toyota 2JZ engine past the 1,000 horsepower mark on a massive turbocharger, you are going to find out real quick that the stock crankshaft has its limits. High boost and extreme cylinder pressure cause factory cast or basic forged cranks to twist and flex. When a crank flexes, it kills your bearings, ruins your oil clearance, and can eventually snap the block right in half. The Brian Crower 4340 Billet Steel Crankshaft (Part Number: BC5309) is built to handle that exact abuse. By upgrading from the stock 86mm stroke to this heavy-duty 94mm setup, you increase your motor's total displacement, which forces way more exhaust gas out to spool up massive turbos much earlier in the RPM band.Brian Crower machines these units out of one single piece of premium aerospace-grade 4340 billet steel. It is not poured into a mold or stamped like cheaper options—it is carved straight from a solid steel block so there are zero weak points or air bubbles hidden in the metal. The counterweights are fully independent and knife-edged. This narrow profile allows the crank to cut right through the oil mist in your oil pan without creating drag, letting the engine rev up fast while keeping the oil from foaming.

Features and Benefits

  • Aerospace 4340 Billet Material: Carved straight out of a flawless, solid block of high-grade steel alloy to support massive horsepower numbers without cracking or bending under high boost.
  • Torque-Boosting 94mm Stroke: Adds a longer stroke length to increase your engine's displacement, giving you massive low-end torque and forcing your turbo to spool up much faster.
  • Aerodynamic Knife-Edged Profiles: The counterweights are machined with sharp, narrow edges to slice directly through engine oil windage, reducing drag and freeing up hidden horsepower.
  • Deep Nitride Hardening Treatment: The entire crank goes through a multi-stage thermal heating process that hardens the outer layer of the steel, preventing premature wear on the bearing journals.
  • Chamfered & Micro-Polished Journals: All oil supply holes are smooth-edged and every journal is polished down to a mirror finish to keep a thick, unbroken film of oil over your engine bearings at 9,000+ RPM.

Vehicle Fitment Matrix

This 94mm billet stroker crank is machined specifically to drop into the main bearing caps of the following Toyota inline-6 iron blocks:
Engine CodeFactory ConfigurationCommon Chassis Platforms
2JZ-GTE3.0L Twin-Turbo Inline-6Toyota Supra MK4 (1993–2002) / Toyota Aristo JZS147 & JZS161
2JZ-GE3.0L Non-Turbo Inline-6Lexus IS300 / Lexus GS300 / Lexus SC300 / Toyota Supra MK4 NA
Critical Engine Building Notice: Because this crankshaft moves the pistons up and down much further than stock (94mm vs 86mm), you cannot use factory-length connecting rods or stock pistons. The longer throw will push a stock piston right out of the top of the block and slam it into your valves. You must run this crankshaft with matching custom-length stroker rods and custom wrist-pin compression pistons.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will this 94mm crankshaft drop straight into my block without clearancing?
In almost all factory 2JZ-GTE and 2JZ-GE iron blocks, the BC 94mm crank will drop right into the main caps without hitting the inner block skirts. However, because factory iron castings can vary slightly, you should always perform a dry assembly with just the crank and rods. Spin it by hand to verify the big-end rod bolts clear the bottom of the cylinder walls and the oil pickup area.
What is the actual advantage of a billet crank over a factory forged Toyota crank?
The factory 2JZ crank is forged and very strong for stock power, but its counterweights are bulky and unpolished, which creates oil turbulence at high speeds. A billet crank is machined perfectly from a solid bar of premium steel. This allows Brian Crower to profile the counterweights to shed oil quickly, chamfer the oiling holes for better lubrication, and deliver a metal density that will not twist under extreme racing conditions.
Can I run my stock factory harmonic balancer pulley with this stroker crank?
Absolutely not. Changing the stroke of an engine completely updates its internal vibration frequencies. A stock harmonic balancer uses a soft rubber ring that degrades over twenty years and cannot absorb the heavy vibrations of a long-stroke racing engine. You must upgrade to a high-quality, SFI-approved performance damper to protect your oil pump gears and main bearings from shattering at high RPMs.
How do I check the oil clearances during installation?
When installing this billet crank, never guess on the clearances. Clean the main journals and bearing shells completely dry, place a strip of Plastigage across the journals, and torque your main caps to factory spec (or your aftermarket stud manufacturer's specs). Remove the caps and measure the flattened wax strip. For a high-horsepower 2JZ build, engine builders typically look for roughly 0.0020 to 0.0025 inches of clearance depending on the oil weight you plan to run.
