Coil springs and a shock absorber working separately is outdated technology. They fight each other. The ride is harsh.This is the Aldan American Front Coilover Conversion Kit. Part #300140. For 1963-1970 Chevy C10 and GMC C15 trucks.It is a complete system. It replaces your factory springs and shocks with a coilover unit . Coil spring and shock absorber in one. Integrated. They work together. The difference is immediate. The ride is smooth. The handling is precise.

Why Coilovers?

Because they are adjustable. You can tune the ride height. Lower the front up to 2 inches by turning a collar on the shock body . You can tune the shock valving. Single adjustable. 11 positions of rebound control . Set it soft for the highway. Set it firm for the corners. One set of shocks does both.

What Is In The Kit?

This is a complete front end overhaul. 13-inch Phantom Series single adjustable coilovers . 650 lb/in coil springs (good for small block and LS engines) . Tubular upper and lower control arms. Way stronger than factory stamped steel . Polyurethane bushings. All hardware.The tubular control arms are engineered to improve geometry. More caster. More camber adjustment. The truck tracks straighter. Corners flatter. The coilovers are crafted from lightweight, high-strength, CNC-machined 6061 T-6 billet aluminum . Strong. Light. Precise.

What About Installation?

It is a bolt-on system. No welding required . The kit is designed to bolt directly to your factory crossmember. The kit includes a cutting template. You will need to cut a hole in the crossmember for the coilover to pass through . It sounds scary. It is straightforward. One hole. No structural issues.The kit is not for use with factory sway bars . You will need an aftermarket sway bar. Aldan makes one.

Part #300140 comes with 650 lb/in springs. These are perfect for small block and most LS engines. For big block applications, select the 750 lb/in option when ordering .

Will this work with my factory sway bar?

No. The kit is not designed to work with factory sway bars .

Can I use drop spindles with this kit?

Yes. The kit can be used with stock or drop spindles .

My ’72 C10 had the mushy, unpredictable factory front end that every classic truck owner knows. The coilover conversion kit completely transformed it. Handling is precise, body roll is controlled, and I can adjust the ride height and stiffness to exactly where I want it. The quality of the components is excellent. No cheap cast brackets here. My C10’s front end always felt mushy and unpredictable with the factory setup, and this coilover conversion completely fixed that.
